Students from the Department of Architecture at the College of Engineering visited Youth Hub. Dubbed the best youth centre in the world its state of the art facilities and infrastructures are one of its kind. The centre was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The centre comprises areas designated for young media professionals, entrepreneurs, young researchers and programmers. It houses offices and meeting halls for young people, spaces for young entrepreneurs a library to enrich their knowledge, a laboratory to develop solutions and host brainstorming sessions, a youth cafe and a theatre for youth events.
Our students, from the third year took a tour of the centre along with their course supervisor for “Architectural Design’. The visit is in coordination with General Authority for Youth Welfare and Sports, wherein our students will design a similar hub for youth. The subsequent visits will ensure a detailed planning and executing of the project that will be handed over in the upcoming December.
