A delegation from University of Applied Science JENA, based in Germany officially visited Ajman University. This visit comes with the frame work of AU to further their international collaborative ventures and provide a mutually beneficial platform for its students and faculty members.
The delegation was received on campus by AU higher management and external relations office representatives. The delegation was headed by Prof. Steffen Teichert, President of JENA along with Prof. Frank Dienerowitz, Department Head of Science and Technology and Mrs. Annette Friedl, Director Language School ISL.
Dr. Abdul Haq, Acting Chancellor AU and Vice Chancellor for Advancement and Communication and Prof. Steffen Teichert, President of the University of Jena, Germany, signed an agreement to promote graduate studies and joint research for students and faculty from both institutions.
This partnership open up unique avenues for students looking to further their studies in the graduates program offered at JENA. The students will be able to enroll at the German institution and pay the basic nominal fee to continue their masters, with the facility to complete the second year which entails research and projects, to be completed anywhere around the world including at AU, Ajman, UAE.
The joint research program for students and faculty members will provide a common platform for faculty members to conduct joint researches and papers to be published and presented in international journals and conferences.
The delegates toured the facilities and departments at AU campus and later took a sightseeing tour of the city of Ajman.
