Aqdar - the Khalifa Empowerment Program for Students and CSR partner Nissan, represent a partnership that focuses on raising awareness of road safety issues among the youth, particularly the students’ community in the UAE. Ajman University hosted the Aqdar campaign on campus for all its male and female students.
Together, Nissan and Aqdar aim to instill safety and awareness in the minds of young drivers by engaging and rewarding them. As a ‘for students by students’ initiative, the program strives to reach a younger generation and communicate on their level through other students. This is widely seen as a more effective way to drive the safety message home.
The campaign was coordinated by the Deanship of Student Affairs who were keen on promoting the road safety and increase awareness amongst students with regards to safe habits during driving. The students actively participated in the campaign which included testing the car roll-over in a secure environment.
