Department of Architectural Engineering at the College of Engineering in Ajman University of Science and Technology will be holding a workshop from 28th February – 1st March 2016. The workshop is entitled “EcoArchitecture: Green Buildings for UAE” delivered by internationally renowned architect Ken Yeang.
This workshop is organized as part of a series of events and workshops regularly organized by the College to facilitate exchange of practical knowledge by experts to its students. A public lecture open to all aptly titled “Ecological Design and Planning: The experiments, ideas and theory that drive our work” will be followed by a workshop for the students.
Ken Yeang is a Malaysian architect, ecologist and author known for his signature Eco-architecture and eco-masterplans. Yeang is an early pioneer of ecology-based green design and master planning, carrying out design and research in this field since 1971. He was named by the Guardian as "one of the 50 people who could save the planet".
