Pharmacy Career Day Enlightens Students to a Bright Future

Ajman University of Science & Technology hosted a Pharmacy Career Day organized by the Career Counseling Center in cooperation with the College of Pharmacy and Health Science. The main aim was to give a platform to the pharmacy alumni and graduating students.

The audiences were the pharmacy alumni and graduating students of Ajman University. This event aimed to help them get ready for their post-graduation journey, and show them how to get the job they deserve. Prof. Ahmed Ankit, Assistant to President for External Relations, presented the University address, while Prof. Nageeb Hassan, Dean, College of Pharmacy and Health Science welcomed the congregation and addressed them about the College.

In his opening speech praised Dr. Ahmed Ankit, Assistant Rector for External Relations, thanks the leadership and government of United Arab Emirates , His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Vice President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler Dubai and their brothers fellow Rulers of the Emirates, for their efforts in supporting the process of education in all the Emirates and all provide a decent life for the citizens and residents alike. In addition, he extended his thanks His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, for his support and his patronage of Ajman University, which ranks as finest educational institutions in the region. 

The lectures covered all pharmacy discipline that are available for UAE pharmacist as a profession. In his speech, Dr. Basil Sarhan old alumni shared the audience his experience and talked about the chances to work in pharmaceutical companies and the skills needed in marketing field. While, Dr. Dalia Murad from the Ministry of Health gave lecture about the recent and updated regulation for pharmacy licenses in UAE. Dr. Rana shared her experience and talked about challenges in community pharmacy while Dr. Sharif talked about the hospital pharmacy experience. Dr. Rana Sammor explained post-graduate study options

Towards the end of the conference, Prof. Ankit shared with the audience some practical tips on how to write a convincing CV and how to pass the job interview. He also highlighted the efforts by the university in guiding and building bridges of communication with more than 29,000 graduate of the Ajman University.

Prof. Ankit stated that Ajman University really values its alumni, which currently exceed 29000 they encompass the values and ideology that the University stands for. In an honoring ceremony to commemorate the ending of a great Pharmacy Career Day, Prof. Ahmed Ankit and Prof. Nageeb Hassan honored the speakers and organizers for their dedication and hard work.
