Hag Al Laila Celebrated on Campus

Community Services Department at Ajman University of Science and Technology organized the local traditional occasion of Haq Al Laila, it marks the middle of the Islamic month of Shaban (15^th Shaban) and is celebrated across the United Arab Emirates.

Special goody bags are packed to distribute through out the campus, volunteering students visited offices and colleges to spread the treats and smile. This initiative elicited many praises from Ajman University community for celebrating the local tradition and spreading awareness about it across the many nationalities studying at Ajman University.

Other GCC countries also celebrate the 15^th of Shaban and it has various names but the Emarati name for this celebration is “Hag AL Laila”.
