Diplomatic representatives of many countries attended the luncheon hosted by Ajman University. The University currently has students from more than 70 countries, and this event turns a new page in strengthening the relationships with the countries represented on campus by the students. This will also open new avenues of mutual cooperation between the University and these entities.
Dr. Khalid Al Khaja, Acting Chancellor for Ajman University and Dr. Abdul Haq Al Nuaimi, Vice Chancellor for Advancement and Communications along with College Deans, welcomed the delegates at the Majlis in Sheikh Zayed Centre for Exhibitions and Conferences. The introductory presentation briefed the delegates about the current statistics of the nationalities of male and female students in the colleges of the University.
The diplomats hosted at Ajman University included Ms. Mohini Madgavkar, Cultural Affairs Officer, United States of America, Mr. David Kyffin , Second Secretary, Canada, Dr. Murdhi Obaid Ayash, Cultural Attaché, State of Kuwait, Ms. Marwa Hamad, Minister Plenipotentiary, Republic of Sudan, Ms. Amna Ismail, Media Manager, State of Palestine, Mr. Vibha kant Sharma, Vice Consul, India, Dr. Naqibullah Rasuli, Cultural Attaché, Republic of Afghanistan, Mr. Abdulla Ahmed Al Jofairi, Second Secretary, State of Qatar, Dr. Hussain Al Azzawi, Minister Plenipotentiary, State of Iraq, Professor. Amgad Elgohary, Cultural Attaché for Egypt.
The delegates were escorted for a tour of the campus which encompasses two main buildings, sports complex, female accommodation and center for exhibitions and conferences. They were briefed on the many facilities, the eight colleges, and their respective specializations. Ajman University seeks to fortify its cultural and academic relations with the countries to accomodate students who are far away from home.
