Ajman University of Science & Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Al Suwaidi Computer Company. The MoU ceremony was attended by Prof. Ahmed Ankit, Assistant to President for external Relation; Prof. Zein Elabidine Rizk, General Director of Intellectual and Academic Authority; Prof. Fahar Hatati, Dean, College of Engineering; Dr. Sahar Sulaiman, faculty member, College of Engineering and Mr. Mohammed Ismail, Manager, Internship and Career Counseling Center. Al Suaidi Computers was represented by Mr. Ranjith K.S, Business Manager and Mr. Melbin Abraham, Corporate Account Manager.
Prof. Ahmed Ankit expressed that the signing of this MoU adheres to Ajman University strategy to build bridges that facilitate technological advancement for students and staff. He appreciated the efforts and undertaking of Al Suwaidi Company and hoped that this would mark the beginning of a long-term mutually beneficial partnership between the two entities. The cooperation extends over a broad range of activities including collaboration with Internship and Career Counselling Centre to furnish the students with hands-on professional skills to ease their induction into the labor market.
Prof. Zein Al Rizk, explained that the agreement would benefit currently the College of Engineering but hoped that soon it will extend to the other Colleges of Information Technology, Information, Mass Communication and Humanities and Business Administration across the two campuses. Prof. Hayati, Dean College of Engineering expressed that the colleges work in tandem with external entities to provide the students the best of the practical world along with their academia.
Mr. Ranjith, gave a detailed presentation on the company and its renowned Autodesk Academic Partner which empowers the University students and staff and bridges the gap between theory and practical application by equipping the Faculty members and students with technical expertise and enabling them to stay competitive.
