Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development launched the Innovation Week at Ajman Culture Centre, he expressed that this campaign represents the wise vision of the state's leadership, for seeing innovation as the successful launch into future horizons.
''We gather here today, to present examples and models of innovation, in the fields of culture, youth and community development, and at the same time assuring all the Emirates that we at the ministry, see innovation as an important embodiment for the concepts of entrepreneurship, initiative, self-confidence, pride in national identity and assuming responsibility to serve the country. We assure everybody that the ability of beneficial innovation is an essential mean that constantly motivate us to be always in the forefront. While using the best international practices, benefit of the most recent advancement in knowledge and technology, we offer local innovations that contribute to these advancements locally and internationally. By our achievements and initiatives we exemplify, the strong bond between cultural, social and youth development on one hand and the global social development on the other hand”.
He toured the exhibition wherein the numerous projects were presented by different entities across the Emirates of Ajman. Ajman University of Science and Technology presented its students innovative projects that were designed to serve the community at large. Projects presented include:
Autonomous UAV for Civil Defence Applications, Wheelchair preventing Pressure sores, Fog Alarm system Control by Twitter and Social Media, Remote Monitoring and Control system for Diabetic and Real time School bus tracking and monitoring system.
