Seminar on Cooperative Importance at Ajman University

Student Affairs Department at Ajman University of Science & Technology in collaboration with Ministry of Social Affairs, Abu Dhabi organized a seminar on the deployment of importance of cooperative unions as part of “Cooperating Generation” initiative launched by the Ministry.

Spokesperson, Mr. Saeed Mubarak, Director, Department of Cooperative, Ministry of Social Affairs explained at the seminar that the aim of the awareness drive is to make people aware of the importance of cooperatives and unions. The initiative seeks to establish the concept of the students' cooperative work through preparing cooperative regulations, carrying out a cooperative methodology program, and holding a cooperative generation meeting. This will in turn instill a spirit of cooperation and independence by developing leadership skills amongst students through exercising collaborative work 

Male and female students showed commendable interaction and appreciation for the ideas that have been put forth and took part in enriching the debate about the importance of cooperative awareness in the community they expressed their interest of participation in such initiatives. These seminars have a positive impact on their communication with their society.

The Ministry thanked the University for providing the platform which facilitated the awareness campaign to reach out to University students and brief them about the “Cooperating Generation” competition.
