Ajman University to Host the 18th General Assembly of AAPIHE

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, Ajman University of Science & Technology is hosting the 18th session of the General Assembly of the Association of Arab Private Institutions for Higher Education (AAPIHE) on 5th February 2014, in Sheikh Zayed Center for Exhibitions & Conferences, at the university main campus.

AAPIHE is primarily concerned with the long-term development needs of Arab private institutions for higher education. AAPIHE believes that better understanding of the community and its growing demands; proper training of students and faculty members as well as strategic planning on the institute’s part to meet the market’s demand can only be attained through the integration of the private sector of higher education in the Arab world.

Mr. Osama Saeed Salman, AUST Vice President, commented: “the relentless support of the UAE government, particularly the educational authorities, has propelled AUST to achieve its educational mission and go beyond the borders to support Arab educational institutions. The far sighted vision of the leadership of our country facilitates our goals and assists us in aspiring to achieving them”.

It should be noted that the annual general assembly of the Association of Arab Private Institutions for Higher Education will be attended by all member institutions, in addition to other private universities and colleges from several Arab countries along with a number of education investors. This meeting is meant to help build closer links of cooperation, integration and coordination between member institutions, private education stakeholders, and regulatory bodies of educational affairs.
