Ajman University to host world-renowned architect Ma Yansong
Ajman University of Science & Technology plays the vanguard when it comes to unique initiatives. Series of workshops and seminars by globally famous architects and designers are regularly organized by the University. In line with this tradition, the University’s Department of Architectural Engineering has invited Mr. Ma Yansong, Founder of MAD Architects to deliver a new workshop from 7th to 10th October 2013 at AUST’s Ajman campus. On day one an inaugural lecture open to the public will be given by the same designer.
Themed “Landmark for Ajman”, the 4-day workshop will encourage participants to create pilot projects designed to reflect the character of the city of Ajman and to propel it to the state of architectural landmark.
At the end of the event, participants will receive certificates signed jointly by Ma Yasong and AUST. Similar to previous editions of workshops, the produced design projects will be compiled to into a booklet that will later be handed out to all participants. Registration in the workshop is not exclusively limited to AUST students; in fact, students and individuals from other universities and organizations across the UAE are also welcomed and expected to take part.
