AUST Alumni Association Holds "First Steps towards Your Career" Workshop

Ajman University of Science and Technology’s Alumni Association recently organized a workshop entitled “First Steps towards Your Career”, which was delivered by Mr. Ali El Khatib, Planning and Talent Acquisition Manager at HBMeU, and a former AUST alumnus. The event falls within the training activities the Alumni Association has been offering to the University’s fresh graduates over the course of this year.

The workshop, which was attended by the Alumni Council members, a host of AUST graduates and Mrs. Rana Kalam, Incharge of Alumni Association; focused on the following topics: the importance of having a good curriculum vitae during the job quest; main steps and skills to effective CV writing; tips on how to prepare for a job interview; the UAE’s top recruitment agencies to approach; and last but not least, introduction to how to use AUST Alumni’s career link.

Mr. Ali El Khatib said that “the objective of this workshop, as its title indicates, is to assist AUST graduates with the first steps towards building their career by training them on the latest techniques of resume and cover letter writing, and on the skills required to successfully pass their interviews.” The event also sought to enlighten the route for graduates and help them embark on their professional careers with absolute confidence and high sense of responsibility.
