Dr. Ibrahim Taher Ibraim El Serafi is an Associate Professor in the College of Medicine at Ajman University, where he teaches General Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Medicine, and Clinical Biochemistry to medical students in years one through four. After graduating from the Faculty of Medicine, Suez Canal University, Egypt, Dr. El Serafi began his clinical and teaching career at the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2004. He obtained a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology before pursuing his Ph.D. at Karolinska Institutet, Sweden, in January 2010, where he defended his thesis in the Department of Laboratory Medicine. Dr. El Serafi later joined Port-Said University, Egypt, as an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry, where he was actively involved in both clinical practice and teaching for two years. In 2017, he continued his academic career as a post-doctoral fellow at Linköping University, Sweden. He returned to Karolinska Institutet in 2018, first as a post-doctoral fellow and later as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oncology-Pathology. His research experience spans the fields of pharmacogenomics, personalized medicine, adoptive T cell therapy, and the development of animal models. He also has extensive expertise in the development and validation of analytical methods using various analytical techniques. Dr. El Serafi is a dedicated scholar, committed to advancing scientific knowledge and improving medical practice.
