Admission Requirements 2023/2024

The College offers a highly innovative 6-year full time program consisting of Pre-Med (2 years), Phase 1 (Pre-Clerkship, 2 years) and Phase 2 (Clerkship, 2 years) leading to the award of the degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD). Admission is open to students from all nationalities and high school curricula – UAE National Curriculum, American, British, CBSE (Indian), French, etc.

English language proficiency

EmSAT English 1400+ OR

IELTS 6.0 OR its equivalent.

Written assessment

Content of assessment includes Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (at the level of EmSAT subject tests), critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Personal interview

A passing grade in the written test is a prerequisite for the interview.

Students from other international systems can submit document that prove that have finished 12 years of schooling and have their high school documents’ equalization completed in the UAE Ministry of Education

Students will be evaluated based on their performance in high school, equivalent to 90% in the UAE MOE system

 

Graduate Entry Admission Requirements

The admission requirements for graduate MD admission (pre-clerkship - year 3) is as follows:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Medical/Health/Biomedical/Biological/Pharmacological Sciences issued in the UAE or an equivalent degree overseas approved by the Ministry of Education in the UAE. Subjects studied include basic:
    1. Cell biology
    2. Anatomy and Physiology
    3. Chemistry
    4. Biochemistry
    5. Physics
    6. Genetics
    7. Additional preferred subjects studied – pharmacology, pathology, immunology, microbiology, psychology, statistics
  2. CGPA of 3.0/4 or higher, or its equivalent with official transcripts and graduation certificates certified by the appropriate authorities
  3. MCAT – minimum score of 500, OR UCAT – minimum score of 2700, OR GAMSAT – minimum score of 63, OR CoM administered MCAT level entrance exam
  4. A valid certificate of English proficiency as required by the University: EmSAT English – 1600 / IELTS 6.5 / TOEFL IBT score of 79 or its equivalent
