The Office of Human Resources and the AU Women Empowerment Council Celebrate Emirati Women's Day

The Office of Human Resources, in collaboration with the AU Women Empowerment Council, organized an event to celebrate Emirati Women's Day. The event commenced with an opening speech by Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University, followed by a speech from Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi, Dean of Student Services and Chair of the AU Women Empowerment Council. This was followed by a video highlighting the achievements of Emirati women.

The event featured a distinguished group of female guests, including Mrs. Farida Al Awadhi, Chairperson of the Emirates Business Women Council, and Ms. Futaim Al Shehhi, Member of the Board of Directors of the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Member of the Emirates Business Women Council. Also, in attendance were Ms. Najlaa Al Motawwa, Board Member of the Emirates Business Women Council, Ms. Halima Aletr, Member of the UAE Business Women Council, and Ms. Labiba Farahat, Algerian artist.

The first session, titled "Her Story, Her Strength," showcased a series of inspiring success stories. Presenters included Ms. Jawaher Al Shehhi, Head of the Community Services, Office of Community Engagement, at Ajman University, alumna Suaad Butti Alshamsi, Executive Secretary at the Sharjah Social Services Department, and student Nof Shehab Jassem from the College of Humanities and Sciences.

The second session, entitled "Inspiring Journeys of AU Emirati Women," featured contributions from Ms. Amna Saeed Albedwawi, Senior Social Worker at the Community Development Authority, Ms. Fatima Abdullah Alhammadi, Head of Customer Service at Al Kuwait Hospital, Ms. Mariam Ali AlKaabi, Investor Services Coordinator at the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone Authority, and student Sana Faris from the College of Humanities and Sciences. The session was moderated by Prof. Asma Alarab and co-moderated by student Fatima Eisa from the College of Humanities and Sciences.
