The IT Club Organizes Coding Battle Competition

The IT Club within the Department of Information Technology at Ajman University’s College of Engineering and Information Technology, in partnership with the Office of Student Life, hosted the highly anticipated “Coding Battle 2024.” This event, organized in collaboration with Dubai Police, the Council College and University of Dubai Police, Zaka Ambassadors, and INTECH ART, brought together 25 teams in an exciting showcase of programming talent. The competition featured 25 teams, including 15 teams with 41 male students and 10 teams with 30 female students.

The competition was held over two intensive rounds and emphasized programming and problem-solving skills, with participants evaluated on solution time and adherence to coding standards, including proper code indentation. At the competition’s conclusion, the top three teams were recognized and awarded for their outstanding achievements.

This event aimed to bolster students’ programming and problem-solving skills, promote innovative thinking, and foster critical thinking within the information technology sector. It provided a competitive environment that encouraged teamwork and collaboration, ultimately refining participants' technical and practical abilities.

Additionally, “Coding Battle 2024” offered students a chance to tackle real-world coding challenges under high-pressure, collaborative conditions, with a focus on logic, coding efficiency, and rapid problem-solving through concise, effective code. The IT Club at Ajman University provides an enriching platform for students passionate about programming, offering extracurricular training activities to enhance their skills beyond the academic curriculum.

The club includes students from Computer Science majors, creating an interactive environment that aligns with their interests. Through various competitions, workshops, and community programs, the club empowers students to acquire essential professional skills, including training for coding competitions, the "Capture the Flag" cybersecurity competition, and community engagement programs. The IT Club is overseen by the Department of Information Technology in collaboration with the Office of Student Life.
