Ajman University Launches Mohammed Hussein Al Shaali Endowed Scholarship Fund for Underprivileged Students

In the presence of Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ajman University, Ajman University (AU) and H.E. Mohammad Hussein Al Shaali have jointly launched the Mohammad Hussein Al Shaali Endowed Scholarship Fund for underprivileged students to pursue high-quality university education.

A memorandum of understanding to this effect was signed between H.E. Mohammad Hussein Al Shaali and Ajman University’s Chancellor Dr. Karim Seghir at the AU campus recently.

H.E. Mohammad Hussein Al Shaali, Chairman of Gulf Craft, made the donation in his personal capacity as a humanitarian leader known for his contribution to charitable causes.

Commenting on the endowment, Dr. Karim Seghir, said, “Ajman University remains steadfast in its commitment to serving the underprivileged sections of our society and our recent transition to a non-profit university is aligned with this objective. The launch of the Mohammad Hussein Al Shaali Endowed Scholarship Fund further strengthens our efforts in this direction. I would like to thank and congratulate H.E. Mohammad Hussein Al Shaali for joining us in this noble and transformative mission.”

Ajman University, ranked #551 among universities worldwide as per QS World University Rankings 2024, is widely known for its commitment to social causes. AU is also a recipient of the Dubai Endowment Sign for supporting underprivileged students through endowments.

H.E. Mohammed Hussein AlShaali, Gulf Craft Chairman and former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates is a recipient of several awards including the ‘Middle East Entrepreneur 2022’ at the coveted NORNS Awards, for his significant contribution to industry in the Middle East.
