Ajman University's Unit of Athletics Hosts Events to Promote Healthy Living and Community Engagement

The Unit of Athletics under the Office of Student Life at Ajman University (AU) organized two events as part of its commitment to support UNSDGs and raise awareness about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The first event, titled "An Hour of Sports Activities for Cleaners & Mahra Taxi," aimed to cheer up female taxi drivers and help them adopt healthy practices in their daily routine. The event was held at the Sports Complex's Multipurpose Hall and was attended by 10 drivers; Sports Activities Supervisor, Ms. Manal Al Katalbi; and several other participants.

The event featured a fitness session, fun activities, competitive games, and concluded with a photo session of the participants to help them cherish memories of the exciting event. Gift bags and snacks were distributed during the event, adding to the participants' excitement and enjoyment.

The second event, "Sports Activities for the Cleaning Heroes," was aimed at celebrating the efforts of the municipality cleaners and promoting healthy lifestyle practices among them. Held at the Sports Complex, the event was attended by 16 cleaners, along with Sports Activities Supervisor, Mr. AbdulHamid; and Lifeguard, Mr. Hany Othman.

The event featured a fitness session, tug-of-war competitions between participants, fun games, and futsal competitions. The event ended with a photo session of the participants, and distribution of gift bags and snacks to the participants.

Both events aimed to promote healthy living and well-being among participants while providing an opportunity to engage in fun physical activities. The Unit of Athletics under the Office of Student Life at Ajman University continues to provide such opportunities to promote healthy living among students and the wider community.
