Encouraging Athleticism in the Community at AU Winter Fest 2022
As part of Ajman University’s Winter Fest 2022 ‘Bringing you closer to the Community’, the Athletics Unit organized sports activities for two groups of junior and senior students belonging to schools in Ajman and other Emirates in the UAE. The sports activities were held from December 19 - 21, 2022.
The activities commenced at the AU Sports Complex in the Multipurpose Hall, right after the opening of the event on December 19. A warm-up session was held for the senior students followed by fun games such as arm wrestling, football, basketball, wall squats, spider exercises and badminton that tested their athleticism and stamina and encouraged them to enhance their sporting skills and spirit.
For the junior group of students, fun games involving balloons, bell balls and ball collection were organized.
More sports were lined up for the junior group students on day two of the event including ball and bridge game; healthy-unhealthy game; football match; baby foot; and snakes and ladders.
On 21st December, day three of the event, the junior group students were able to enjoy bow and arrow; ball collection game; balloon in badminton game; and Zig - zag Race.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the games, which not only helped them relish their winter break, but also enhanced their basic skills across various sports.
