Ajman University Granted the Renowned Dubai Endowment Sign

Ajman University has received the renowned Dubai Endowment Sign for its efforts in supporting financially challenged students through endowments. The Dubai Endowment Sign was granted to AU by Mohammed Bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy (MBRGCEC), which is affiliated with Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation in Dubai.

The Dubai Endowment Sign recognizes government and private institutions involved in initiatives and community contributions that help people with their social needs.

Ajman University allocates the proceeds of its Thamer Fund to the Educational Solidarity Fund, to support insolvent university students who apply for financial assistance. The Thamer Fund is a sustainable project to help university students from various faculties and nationalities to continue their education.

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, received the Dubai Endowment Sign from His Excellency Ali Al Mutawa, Secretary General of the Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation in Dubai, at Ajman university Campus. Mrs. Zainab Juma Al Tamimi, Director of MBRGCEC was also present on the occasion. Their visit to AU was intended to recognize our efforts and award us in appreciation of Ajman University's humanitarian and community initiatives in the field of higher education.

Acknowledging the recognition, Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University said, “Ajman University is honored to receive this recognition from Mohammed Bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy. There could not be a better endorsement for our humanitarian and community service initiatives than the Dubai Endowment Sign. This will provide a boost to our efforts in serving underprivileged students and the society, and encourage AU to do even more on this front.”

His Excellency Ali Al-Mutawa praised the distinguished efforts of Ajman University in supporting the students whose financial conditions prevented them from completing their education.

Al-Mutawa added that supporting the education sector is one of the Foundation's most important priorities, as it contributes to building and developing young cadres capable of achieving the vision and endeavors of the UAE to the fullest.

Mrs. Zainab Jumaa Al-Tamimi, said: “We look forward to various universities being inspired by humanitarian initiatives for charitable work and to become a role model in society by allocating an educational solidarity fund in all universities that supports students who are financially insolvent so that they can complete their education.”
