Congratulations to the Winners of CAAD Student Awards 2020-21

The College of Architecture, Art & Design (CAAD), Ajman University is pleased to announce the winners of the first annual CAAD Awards 2020-21. In this inaugural edition, Zulaikha Abdul Majeed won the Best Interior Design Project award, while Sundus Naief received the Best Architecture Project Award.

Muhammed Mahdi was adjudged the Student Leader of the Year, while Shams Almula received the Best Overall Student of the Year Award for 2020-21.

This is the first edition of the CAAD Awards. To be given out annually from now on, CAAD Student Awards recognize academic excellence, creative endeavor and leadership demonstrated in the Architecture and Interior Design streams of the college.

The categories and respective criteria for the awards are detailed below:

• Best Architecture Project Award: Students demonstrating outstanding performance in their Design course will be nominated by their design instructor, at the end of each academic semester.
• Best Interior Design Award: Deserving students will be nominated by their design instructor, at the end of each academic semester.
• The Student Leader of the Year Award: This award recognizes excellence in extracurricular activities and cooperation with the college in the organization of student events and/or communication with the students of the College. Students who have demonstrated initiative by volunteering for community service or made similar other impressive contributions will also be considered for this award.
• Best overall Student: Student who has finished at least 40 credit hours and has achieved the highest GPA in the college as of the deadline of the award submission will be eligible for this award.
