AU Faculty Dr. Kelvin Afrashtehfar Accepted as Member of Highly Coveted Swiss Society for Oral Implantology

In yet another achievement by one of our world-class faculty, Dr. Kelvin Afrashtehfar, Assistant Professor at Ajman University’s College of Dentistry, has been accepted as a member of the coveted Swiss Society for Oral Implantology (SSIO). Notably, Dr. Kelvin is the first non-European to be accepted as an SSIO member, after fulfilling highly competitive and selective acceptance criteria.

Dentists who are oral implantology practitioners or closely associated with it are eligible to become members of SSIO. SSIO’s purpose is to promote direct professional and collegial exchange and dialogue between universities and private practitioners of oral implantology. SSIO is the only professional society in Switzerland that combines all aspects of oral implantology in one organization.

As a full member, Dr. Kelvin will have several privileges including voting and election rights at the SSIO General Assembly. Dr. Kelvin’s achievement will contribute to strengthening the oral implantology body of knowledge within Ajman University’s College of Dentistry.
