Dr. Muhammad Hanif Receives Noor Professorship in Islamic Banking and Finance

In August 2019, Noor Bank signed a first-of-its-kind agreement with AU to fund an endowed professorship in Islamic Banking and Finance, as well as student scholarships for the program. After careful review and consideration, Dr. Muhammad Hanif has been named the inaugural recipient of this prestigious professorship with an appointment of three years.

Dr. Hanif is a renowned speaker, mentor, and teacher with 20 years of experience in higher education and finance profession. He believes deeply in making a difference in the lives of others through teaching and training. Dr. Hanif’s contributions to his profession include more than 20 published research articles (with 440 citations) in such publications as the International Journal of Emerging Markets; JKAU-Islamic Economics; Journal of Islamic Accounting and Business Research; International Journal of Islamic and Middle Eastern Finance and Management; Journal of Islamic Economics, Banking and Finance; Journal of Islamic Business and Management; and ISRA International Journal of Islamic Finance.
