AU Teams Shine in HESF Sports Tournament

Fully dedicated to the ‘Make it happen’ spirit’, the sports teams of Ajman University (AU) have shined in the Higher Education Sports Federation (HESF) tournaments.

The AU table tennis team managed to seize the third rank in the HESF championship, the toughest nationwide, held recently at the New York Abu Dhabi campus.

Anas Khalil, a student of dentistry, AU, dazzled the audience with his exceptional performance, and won three rounds that he ranked third in the competition.

AU basketball, chess, and soccer teams also performed well in the contests of the all-year-round championship.

The AU soccer team has won gold medals in the 13th Inter-University Sports Festival organized recently at the Wollongong University, Dubai. Salma Najmuldin scored a goal for AU team in the last minute of the match.

The AU soccer team also won the silver medal and ranked second in the Soccer Championship held recently at the American University in Ras Al Khaimah.

Crowds of students from all colleges were so keen to attend the matches and support their teams.
