Security Team Trumps Ramadhan Football Championship at AU

The Ramadhan football championship at Ajman University concluded on a festive spirit. Eight teams comprising of both academic and administrative members played 28 nail biting games over the course of three weeks to prove their mettle on the ground.

The security office team won the first place after playing the final against the Chancellors office, where the security team were able to score a whopping 7 goals and restricting the opponents to only 3 goals. The second and third place were secured by the Chancellors’ and Transportation offices respectively.

Dr. Karim Seghir, AU Chancellor congratulated the teams and commended the efforts of the organizers for a wonderful tournament and in promoting sports and healthy lifestyle. Other footballers  were honored for their exceptional game, while Hafsal Shola from the Registration & Admission Office was the best goalkeeper, best player was secured by Mohammed Al Sanosi from the Advancement and Communication Office

Dr. Karim pointed out that AU regularly organizes such championships and competitions in various fields to encourage and promote team spirit between the AU family members.
