Pharmacy College Launches Diabetes Awareness

As part of Ajman University initiatives of ‘Year of  Zayed’, and as a commitment of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences to acquaint  all segments of society about diabetes, the College launched an awareness campaign in collaboration with Ajman Specialty Hospital  to improve awareness about the disease on World Diabetes Day.

The College organized a campaign at Ajman Specialty Hospital under the supervision of Dr. Sanaa Hasan, faculty member of the college of Pharmacy. She touched upon the efforts made by the Pharmaceutical Practices Research Department and their active role in spreading awareness about enhancing the health awareness for diabetics in the UAE. Likewise, Dr. Shorouq Al Mahameed and Ms. Sidra, Research Assistants at the College of Pharmacy, spoke about the risks associated with diabetes and the complications that affect the lifestyle of people with diabetes, and informed the public of the latest research relating to diabetes.
