IT Students Achieve Advanced Positions in the E-Adventure Competition

Eight students from the College of Information Technology at Ajman University participated in the fifth edition of the e-adventure contest, organized by the Signal Intelligence Service, which was held in Dubai.

20 teams attended the competition from 16 universities in the UAE. AU students were able to achieve excellent results in the competition, student Mohammed Osman came in second place, and students Omar Hafez and Abdullah Al Nuaimi ranked fifth.

"Cyber Adventure" aims to enhance the skills of students in schools and universities in the field of cybersecurity, additionally motivating them to learn continuously and keeping pace with the rapid developments in this dynamic field, and highlight the importance of protecting the digital infrastructure to ensure the future of future generations. The competition stimulates the scientific curiosity of the participants and reinforces the focus of emerging generations on the disciplines of science, technology and mathematics, which are necessary to protect electronic security and build a future economy.

The training phase of the competition started last January, with orientation tours to schools and universities in different emirates. The students were introduced to various aspects of cybersecurity and explained the conditions of participating in the competition followed by the training tour. Participants were trained for a week on the basics of programming, encryption, phone applications, attack techniques, And the Electronic Crimes Act in the UAE.
