Educational Trips for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students in College of Law

Within the framework of educational activities organized by the various colleges at Ajman University, which contribute to breaking the barrier between the academic and events communities and the labor market, the College of Law organized educational trips for undergraduate and postgraduate students to the Securities and Commodities Authority in Dubai and the Department of Port and Customs in Ajman.

The first trip was aimed at Masters students, who visited the JSC and listened to a lecture on "The Role of the Authority in Protecting the Shareholders' Rights in the Public Shareholding Company" from the establishment of the company through its management to liquidation and resolution.

The lecture added a lot of information to the students in the Master's program because they are closely related to the subject they are studying. The lecture concluded with a high-quality panel discussion in which the students discussed many legal problems related to the protection of shareholders rights.

The second trip was aimed at students of maritime law and was at the headquarters of the port and customs department in the Emirate of Ajman. The students were seen on the container yard and were informed about the types of dry and refrigerated containers and how they were shipped and unloaded to and from the ship, and then transferred to the food control department where food samples are taken for analysis and detection to ensure that they meet the specifications.

The students then went to the Department where containers coming from abroad using rays to detect them. The students then saw the contents of the containers on the screens for identification and to tell whether they contain prohibited goods or not. The students also visited the operating room where they saw all operations that take place inside the port. At the end of the visit, the Authorities allowed female students to take a cruise on board a vessel from the Tag boat, through which they learned how to guide ships when entering the port.
