AU Celebrates the Commencement of the Second Batch of "Year of Zayed" Next Month
Ajman University celebrates the commencement of the second batch of the twenty-seventh batch of graduates at the university, which has been aptly named "the year of Zayed" Batch. This 2nd batch of the Year of Zayed consists of 762 graduates from all the Colleges at AU hailing from 44 different nationalities.
The year 2018 marks 100 years since the birth of late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Founding Father of the UAE, who passed away in 2004. To commemorate this historic national occasion, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates has declared that 2018 will officially be known in the UAE as the Year of Zayed.
The male students commencement ceremony will be held at The Sheikh Zayed Center for Conferences & Exhibitions on Monday, 29 October at 10 am and the female students commencement ceremony will be on Tuesday, October 30th at 4 pm.
The University has launched the event website (commencement.ajman.ac.ae), which includes all information about the ceremony. The first undergraduate and master's degrees will be announced on the website before the ceremony. The commencement ceremony will also be broadcasted directly through this site.
Additionally, the university announced hashtag #AUgrad2018 for all graduates to use to express their joy on this occasion, to share their university memories using this tag, and to use it on various social media platforms.
