Pharmacy College holds Appreciation Ceremony

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Ajman University held a ceremony honoring all its students, faculty members and administrators who were exemplary in their conduct in various activities and events organized by the College and they actively participated in the Year of Giving, during the academic year 2016-2017.

Dr. Abdul Haq Al-Nuaimi, Vice-Chancellor for Advancement and Communication, Dr. Mohamed Nasr, Acting Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Prof. Najib Hassan Dean, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi, Dean of Student Affairs along with members of the faculty and administrative staff and students from all Colleges.

The ceremony began with the national anthem and verses from the Holy Quran, a visual presentation about the Faculty of Pharmacy during its 20 years of history, and a presentation of the activities of the College during the academic year 2016-2017.

Dr. Abdulhaq Al-Nuaimi praised the excellent standard of practice adopted by the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences along with the activities and campaign that are undertaken. He  thanked all those who contributed to this success, praising the initiatives taken by the College to support the Year of Giving.

Then, Prof. Najib Hassan thanked all the students and members of the teaching and administrative staff of the college for their great effort in organizing the various events and activities.

About 150 students were honored at the event for their activities as well as members of the teaching and administrative staff in the college.

Pharmacy student then gave an awareness lecture on the correct methods of storing drugs, disposing of expired and used medicines and methods of detecting counterfeit medicines. At the end of the ceremony, the third year students presented an educational presentation on the disposal of expired drugs and an interactive competition by asking general questions in the field of medicine, winning students were awarded with prizes.
