Law College Hold Advisory Board Meeting

College of Law at Ajman University (AU) places utmost importance on the strategic partnership between the professional world, community and the students. They have to be equipped with the skills to compete in the labor market at par with the best professional and that is only achieved it the gap between the academia and the requirements of the job market are bridged.

The first meeting for the advisory board was held at the College headed by Dr. Abdul Wahab Abdool, Former President of the Federal Supreme Court; the members include Colonel Prof. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Dean, Dubai Police Academy; Dr. Jamal Al Sumaiti, Director General, Dubai Judicial Institute; Mr. Zayed Al Shamsi, Director, Emirates Lawyers Association, Dr. Lateefah Hameed Al Jumaili, Dean College of Law at AU and Dr. Issa Ghasaan, Faculty member College of Law, Fujairah Campus.

The meeting streamlined the goals of the board to achieve leadership of excellence in higher education at both local and regional level. Various avenues of cooperation were also discussed wherein the students would benefit from the field trainings and practical work experience. New course and programs proposed were also on the agenda along with the review of the operational plans.
