College of Dentistry celebrate the efforts of their 5th year GP Doctors

College of Dentistry at Ajman University held a special event dedicated to celebrating the efforts of the 20 General Practitioners who work with Dentistry students. the ceremony was attended by Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor Ajman University; Dr. Mohammed Nasr, Interim Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs; Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi, Dean of Student Affairs along with College Deans and Directors.

The GPs relentless efforts ensure students’ academic and practical experience is at par with international standards. They oversee the education of the students who are reaching towards the end of their academic knowledge and steeping into the practical experience, mostly fourth and fifth year students. The clinics are usually the hub of the practical activity and working on patients is the real test of these students.

Chancellor Seghir joined the College and students in praising the GP for their contribution to boost the academic performance of the students whose reputation amongst their fellow dentists stands out in UAE and the Middle East.

Dr. Salim Abu Fanas, Dean, College of Dentistry reiterated the Universities commitment since its inception to give the society an elite group of Dentists whose outstanding work is of international standards. He stressed that the number of male and female alumni of this college who have hailed from over 40 countries are successful practitioners around the world currently.

Dr. Salim explained that the College of Dentistry has done its utmost to reach the highest standards and specifications that meet the international credits. AU College of Dentistry is the largest dental hospital in the state, which provides free medical services in the field of oral and dental health for more than 400 patients a day. He pointed out that the overall number of clinics, given the growing numbers of students and patients, has increased from 41 clinics to 144 clinics equipped with the latest equipment and the most advanced technology.

At the conclusion of his speech, Dean Abu Fanas thanked students of the fifth year at the college for organizing this ceremony in recognition and appreciation of  the role played by the practitioners in college. He encouraged this idea, that boost the morale of the Doctors and students alike.

The ceremony saw several paragraphs variety, all of the organizers prepare students, and concluded the ceremony honoring the 20 dentists from practitioners in college.
