Finance Department Students from the College of Business Administration secured the third position in the final round of the National Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) Virtual Stock Game Competition 2017 in partnership with Abu Dhabi University and Abu Dhabi Exchange.
The Team consists of finance major students Ariba Sabah and Tahveen Mohammad Ali. They achieved virtual profits of 50,000 AED that made them reach the final stage of top ten teams in the competition.
Ten finalist teams made presentations about their strategies that could make them winners by making higher profits. Three judges from ADX, Financial Brokerage Company and a faculty member from finance department at Abu Dhabi University judged the ten presentations.
CEO of Abu Dhabi Exchange His Excellency Mr. Rashed Al Balooshi announced that 116 teams from 17 universities participated in this competition game this year. At the end, he along with Dr. Jacob Chacko, Dean of College of Business Administration, Dr. Nejla Ellili, Head of Finance Department in CBA honored the winners.
Dr. Mohammed Chaker, the head of Finance Department accompanied and supervised the team during their participation. The winning team students from the College of Business Administration expressed their appreciation towards the management for providing such platforms to encourage and support the students talents.
