AU Launches 'Safe Iftar' Drive to Mark “Zayed Humanitarian Day”

The Community Service Department, in cooperation with the College of Mass Communication and Humanities organized the "Safe Iftar" dive in the Emirate of Ajman. The initiative included students from all faculties, in addition to a number of faculty members, and a delegation of goodwill ambassadors from the UAE media.

This initiative comes within the framework of the "Year of Giving" undertaken by AU and it coincides with the Zayed Humanitarian Day. It aimed to minimize traffic accidents that occur as a result of speeding specially at Iftar time, when people are rushing home to their loved ones. Volunteers distributed Iftar packs across the Emirates of Ajman on various key traffic conjunctions.
