Abdullah Mazroui Scholarship Chair at AU
Ajman University strives to ensure that any financial hurdle that may hinder their educational journey never encumbers the students, for this purpose it has launched yet another novel concept. A “Scholarship Chair” that would be named in recognition of the honorable contributor. This will support the outstanding students studying in higher secondary schools in UAE, who wish to start their undergraduate studies.
To initiate the first endowed chair Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor AU signed an agreement with His Excellency Abdullah AL Mazroui, Chairman of the Thamer Fund for Educational Solidarity and Member of the AU Board of Trustees. He benevolently signed the deed to support a distinct student who excels in the scientific field and would like to join Dentistry, Pharmacy and/or Engineering program at AU.
The university will begin to receive application for this Chair beginning 12th November 2017 till 23rd November 2017. There are a set of criteria that the student have to match up to for eligibility. The grant will take effect beginning Second Semester 2017-2018. The students can apply online during the dates mentioned above.
Community has shown great interest in endowing a chair, for this is the best of investments that will reap the benefits in this world and hereafter. AU strongly believes students can reach their maximum potential with the right support, financially challenged students also deserve an equal chance to pursue their dream and enjoy a fulfilling career in any field of choice.
