Inspiring Business Leaders – Role of Educational Excellence
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman & Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, Ajman Chamber of Commerce & Industry hosted the ninth edition of its Annual Networking Event & Mega Gala Dinner themed, “Inspiring Business Leaders”.
Key speakers at the event included Mr. Abdullah Mowaji, Chairman of Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry ; Media professional Mr. Turki al-Dakhil and Mr. Osama Saeed Salman, Vice President and CEO of Ajman University of Science and Technology (AUST). An exhibition that includes representations from 13 different countries along with local departments was held in conjunction with the Annual Networking Event, in addition to an entertaining educational program and a closing gala dinner.
Mr. Osama Salman, took the audience on a memory trip by proudly reiterating the many firsts that the Emirates of Ajman has witnessed.
He also stated that, 1988 marked the birth of an educational institute by the aegis of the Amiri Decree, Ajman University of Science & Technology became a reality. Today, 25 years later its 27,000 graduates are holding key positions in UAE and around the world and the counting is still on. Not only did AUST carve a niche for itself on the educational map of the region but also has been a leader in providing the labor market with highly skilled graduates.
According to recent statistics the next 5 years will be play a pivotal role in the economic structure of Dubai and UAE. Ajman being on the cusp of the connection between Dubai & the northern region its strategic location, advancing infrastructure and developments make it an ideal supporting partner in the economic evolutions to come to this region.
Osama Salman affirmed the vanguard position Ajman has attained in the Educational arena of UAE and the region in general. He pointed out that after 25 years of perseverance and sheer determination towards excellence and knowledge today AUST is renowned for its unmatched quality of education. To achieve these goals the prime focus has been research and scientific studies, AUST stresses the importance of these and encourages both local and international researchers to utilize the ever expanding knowledge base in our libraries.
AUST also is a strategic partner in the development of the Emirates of Ajman and therefore the education and its peripheral services and facilities all cater to students and knowledge seekers at large. Mr. Osama also pointed out the future infrastructures planned by AUST which will represent landmark in themselves.
Attended by senior government officials, ambassadors, consular officers representing foreign embassies, members of the Chambers of Commerce, representatives from both private and public companies and organizations. Such events usually are followed by a very promising boast for economic prospects, the Ajman Chamber of Commerce & Industry facilitates and encourages current and future developments.
