AUST Students Visit Sharjah Aquarium

The Cultural Association at the Deanship of Student Affairs in Ajman University of Science and Technology organized recently a scientific trip to Sharjah Aquarium. The visit was an excellent opportunity for students to tour the aquarium facility and get acquainted with the different aquatic species that live in the UAE waters.

AUST students also visited Sharjah Maritime Museum and discovered the millennia-long relationship between the local people and the sea. The museum displays different fishing tools, boats and purl-collection techniques used by the local seamen, whose mannequins offer a genuine idea about life in the UAE in the days of old.

Student Tarek Namer from the Cultural Association said that young people and students should come and see such places, not only for the pleasure of the eye, but also for broadening their mind and discovering the man-nature bond that has always existed on this land.

This visit is part of the program set up by AUST Deanship of Student Affairs to equip students with the necessary skills and techniques to help them study and analyze the different phenomena surrounding them.
