AUST BA College Awarded 'Best Educational Institute in Management'
The College of Business Administration at Ajman University of Science and Technology was honored with an award for 'Best Educational Institute in Management' by the World Education Congress Asia Awards 2011, a global awards for excellence in education, leadership and teaching, which brought together more than 17 Arab and foreign countries.
The World Education Congress Awards are held annually for the last 19 years, to recognize individuals and institutions for their excellence in the field of education across several categories. The award winners are selected by a Global Research Cell. This Cell is constituted of professionals from different parts of the world. The criteria used by the jury for selecting the winners is comprised of primary data, current students' perceptions and the perception of graduates who hold positions in various organizations. The Research Cell also uses social media as a source of information gathering. "The awards is of the highest stature and is presented to individuals and institutions which have surpassed several levels of excellence and who set an example of being a role model and exemplary leaders, Individuals behind the institution who are building their institutions through Leadership, Innovation, Academic and Industry Interface and a supreme objective of building future leaders." emphasized Mr. Oliver Warren, Global Chairman of the World Education Congress.
Prof. Mohamed Ali Alshami, Dean of AUST College of Business Administration attended the ceremony and received the award in Dubai on the 25th of September 2011. In his speech he said: "It is my great honor to receive this global award for 'Best Educational Institute in Management' by the World Education Congress Asia Awards 2011, an award for excellence in education, leadership and teaching." Dr Alshami added, "We are delighted and proud to see that our efforts to develop a model college are now being honored and recognized by an international body. Furthermore, we will continue our efforts to deliver world class standards of quality academic excellence. I would like to wholeheartedly congratulate H.E. Dr. Saeed Abdullah Salman, the president of Ajman University for this outstanding award. At this memorable occasion, I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to my colleagues in CBA, Ajman University."
The event was attended by senior top educational institutes' leaders from countries like Singapore, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Philippines, Korea, Japan, China, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Oman, UAE and Nepal as well as HR heads of various organizations.
