300 Ajman and Sharjah Secondary School Students Visit Ajman University

The College of Information Technology at Ajman University of Science and Technology (AUST) organized a visit for students from the Al-Sholah Secondary School, Sharjah, and the Al-Hekma and Al Jurf Secondary Schools in Ajman. Dr. Hakeem Khali, Dean of the University’s College of Information Technology, in welcoming the students on behalf of H.E. Saeed Abdullah Salman, President of AUST, stated that the aim of the visit was to inform the students about the University and its 41 programs and majors. He also gave a brief introduction to admission requirements, study plans, curricula, extracurricular activities and job prospects after graduation, stressing that the demand for IT services has rapidly increased and become crucial in all sectors of the job market.

After this welcoming address, the students toured the University buildings and facilities, including the libraries, laboratories, computer laboratories, restaurants, cafeterias and sports and arts cultural clubs. They then attended a training workshop on website creation. The visit was concluded with a luncheon banquet and the distribution of souvenirs and gifts to the students and their supervisors who, in their turn, warmly thanked the University for its hospitality, and said that such visits will be repeated in the future.
