Ajman University Students finish internship at UAE hospitals and pharmacies

The students of the college of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Ajman University of Science and Technology have finished the internship they had during the first semester of the academic year 2008-2009.

The internship took place at a number of hospitals and pharmacies in Dubai, Ajman and Ras Al- Khaima, including Khlifa Bin Zayed Hospital, Gulf Medical University in Ajman, the Iranian Hospital, Wasel Hospital, Dubai Hospital in Dubai and Saqr Hospital in Ras Al- Khaima.

Dr. Samir Bloukh, Dean of the college of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, highlighted that a number of students were sent to internship sites in specialized hospitals, pharmacies and medical centers, with the aim of acquiring the necessary competence to enrich their laboratory and field experience, and to be qualified for confidently accessing the job market.

For their part, the trainees expressed their sincere desire to benefit from the available opportunities of internship and use of all the means and facilities at the internship sites to be qualified as a part of the medical staff contributing to the enhancement of health care services and serving the wider community.

Dr. Samir Bloukh expressed his gratitude to the directors of hospitals and pharmacies at the internship sites and the field supervisors for their efforts. He extended thanks to the members of the internship committee in the College for their cooperation and understanding to make these training sessions a success.
