Field Trip of Mass Communication Students to Saqr Printing & Carton Packaging Factory

As part of the practical educational activities for the "Techniques and Materials" course at the College of Media, Prof. Dr. Tarek Ismail took the students on a field trip to Saqr Printing & Carton Packaging Factory on Thursday, February 13, 2025. They were warmly welcomed by Mr. Suleiman Yousef, who provided a detailed explanation of the production stages.

During the visit, the students learned about the various stages of the design and printing processes. They discussed the technical steps involved in the design hall with the lead designer. Later, they moved to the manufacturing section, where they were introduced to advanced cutting and offset printing machines with two-color and four-color inks.

The students had the opportunity to observe the entire process, from designing the packages to assembling them, which greatly enhanced their theoretical and practical understanding of all stages involved in printing and carton packaging. This hands-on experience proved to be particularly valuable for students in the media field, providing insights into the modern technologies related to design and printing.
