The College of Mass Communication has been honored by Dubai Municipality for its outstanding contributions to the UAE Innovation Month 2025. This recognition highlights the College’s dedication to innovation, technology, and creative solutions in media and communication.
Led by Dr. Mervat Youssef, the College’s participation showcased cutting-edge digital experiences that blend design, communication, and cultural engagement. A key highlight was Hagar Al Shalali’s graduation project, “Msyal”, an immersive VR and AR experience that brought the UAE’s rich culture, landscapes, and values of tolerance to life, demonstrating how digital storytelling can preserve history while embracing future technologies.
Additionally, Mass Communication students played a significant role in the Innovation Lab 2025, tackling pressing challenges such as the Emirate’s Addressing System Challenge, which focuses on urban planning and navigation. Their innovative contributions highlighted how media, design, and technology can solve real-world problems.
