Students' Scientific Research of the College of Mass Communication in Spotlight

Ajman University is always keen on providing scientific databases for both students and professors, and students are trained to use them to access scientific studies related to their research topics, which facilitates the learning process, raises their knowledge, and develops their research capabilities. In this context, the College of Mass Communication enhanced scientific research activities in the various specializations. Students presented their scientific research during the college’s scientific seminar held in December 2023, with the presence of the Dean Dr. Hossam Salama, the Head of the Department, Dr. Emad Omar, and a number of distinguished faculty members.

During May 2024, college students participated in the 11th session of the Abu Dhabi University Scientific Research Competition, and the student Shahad Tariq Mousa won third place with her research on the culture of cancellation and rejection and the strategies of content creators in dealing with it, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Maha Abdel Majeed.

Moreover, in May 2024, CMC students also presented their scientific research in the scientific research competition organized by the college as part of the university’s celebration of scientific research. The scientific arbitration was conducted by Prof. Dr. Shaymaa Salem, Dr. Amal Badr, and Dr. Samar bin Ramadan. The first place was dadicated for two groups, the first group consisted of Yara Samir, Lynn Kiftaro, and Nawal Al-Zaeem; with a research paper entitled: The rules and requirements of Graphic Design for Metaverse platforms. The second group consisted of Lubabah Mustafa and Malak Haitham; with their research paper entitled: Motives for Using Radio Podcasting and effects of its use, the two research papers were supervised by Prof. Dr. Maha Abdel Majeed.
