On Thursday, November 7, Graphic Design students from the College of Mass Communication, led by Prof. Tarek Ismail, Professor of Product Design, attended Dubai Design Week. The event is the largest creative festival in the Middle East and serves as a major platform for showcasing innovations in various design fields, including architecture, product design, furniture, typography, packaging, and graphic design.
Dubai Design Week aims to highlight exceptional regional talent while offering international artists the chance to present their creative works to the local community through seminars and discussions with renowned designers from across the globe. The event features several key exhibitions, including “Downtown Design,” which showcases limited-edition innovations from various brands; the “Global Grad Show,” displaying work from around 100 universities worldwide; and the “Abwab” exhibition, which highlights unique designs from the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia.
This visit is part of the College of Mass Communication’s ongoing commitment to providing students with innovative educational experiences, expanding their perspectives, and keeping them informed about the latest trends in the world of design.
