The College of Mass Communication recently hosted an insightful seminar organized by the College's Research Committee. The session, presented by Dr. Samar, Assistant Professor at the College, introduced attendees to the advanced features of NVivo 15, a leading software tool for qualitative data analysis.
The seminar was attended by Dr. Hosam Salama, Dean of the College, Dr. Emad, Head of Department, faculty members, graduate and undergraduate students, and guests from the College of Humanities and Sciences.
The seminar provided a foundational understanding of NVivo 15, focusing on how to adapt the software for various research designs, including mixed methods and diverse analytical approaches. The seminar covered core NVivo functionalities such as handling various data types, including audio and video files, social media data, and survey results, along with querying capabilities, data visualization options, and integration with reference management tools.
The College plans to organize additional seminars focused on advanced NVivo functionalities and specialized research methods, continuing to support the academic development of both students and faculty.
