Moreover, the university is keen to hone the skills of its students and graduates and qualify them for the highly competitive labor market, as they are always the center of gravity. Hence, Ajman University was an Education Partner of the ICIP 2024 international conference, and our AU students and Alumni from the College of Mass Communication participated in the Media coverage of this prestigious global conference, which was held in the vibrant city of Abu Dhabi during the period from the 27th to the 30th of October 2024. The team provided distinguished coverage of the conference’s activities under the supervision of Dr. Dina El-Khattat, assistant professor at the college and the coordinator of training and Alumni.
The 2024 IEEE International flagship Conference on Image Processing (ICIP 2024) of the IEEE Signal Processing Society brings together the image and video processing and computer vision community for an in-person gathering at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). IEEE ICIP is considered one of the largest and most comprehensive conferences dedicated to image and video processing and computer vision, and the ICIP 2024 was a hub of innovation and learning, as it included many plenary speakers, insightful tutorials, engaging exhibits and demonstrations, oral and poster sessions, special sessions, industry-focused workshops, and several events targeting women-in-engineering, students, and young professionals. The aim is to explore trustworthiness from a wide perspective and cover various aspects, such as fidelity or faithfulness concerning the original data, reliability, reproducibility, robustness, sampling, and explainability. The conference covers many fields, including Computer Vision, Image Processing, Data Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning for Images and Videos, Machine Learning, Image and Video Quality Models, Biometrics, Forensics, Security, Biomedical and Biological Image Processing, Emerging Applications, Systems, Datasets and Benchmarks.
