As part of the launch of the 21st edition of the Arab Media Forum, Under the theme ‘The Future of Arab Media’, the College of Mass Communication at Ajman University organized a visit to the forum, which was held in Dubai, This Forum included over 75 sessions featuring 130 speakers and the participation of 160 media organisations.
Participation comes within the framework of the college’s keenness to develop the skills of students and Alumni through their engagement in the important professional activities.
Participants attended many sessions and discussions which highlighted the multi-faceted factors shaping the future of media in the region, with a focus on two key themes, the impact of artificial intelligence on the media and the broader creative landscape and the influence of film and drama as sources of soft power. Moreover, the forum explored new media trends, share inspiring success stories and discussed a new vision for charting a bright future for the Arab world’s media.
The college’s participation was coordinated by Dr. Dina El Khattat, the college’s training and professional development coordinator, in cooperation with the Dubai Press Club, where a large number of students and graduates participated, who benefited from the distinguished attendees including ministers and heads of leading local, influential media personalities, Arab and international media organisations, as well as thought leaders, intellectuals and writers.
