Graphic design is a rapidly developing major that keeps pace with the times and aims to serve society, which was reflected in the graduation projects for the graphic design major for the academic year 2023, which were carried out by 17 male and female students, whose ideas reflected their ability to use print and digital design tools and employ artificial intelligence and augmented reality techniques. The students’ works dealt with events. Important matters in the country in general and in the Emirate of Ajman in particular from multiple angles, such as contemporary media issues, startup projects, and awareness campaigns.
Students explore the Emirate of Ajman and Ajman University from multiple angles, as well as important events in the United Arab Emirates, such as contemporary media issues, startup projects, and awareness campaigns.
Each project included the stages of an integrated advertising campaign, including logo design, correspondence and packaging, website and electronic application design, and an advertising campaign on print and social media.
The following topics were covered: a publicity campaign for COP 28, an electronic application using augmented reality for the development of tourism in Ajman, a publicity campaign for the 23rd Ajman University graduation ceremony, a publicity campaign for Communities Day for Ajman University, redesigning the visual identity of Ajman TV, the Hogar Center, the future of Arab media, a virtual museum. For Arabic music, Artopia website for graphic designers, Asterisk motion graphics company, an awareness campaign about the dangers of diabetes, an advertising campaign about Syria’s heritage entitled The Storyteller, and an advertising campaign UAEBIKERR.
The projects were displayed using Projection Mapping technology on the wall of the university buildings with a light and music show.
