The Training Committee of the College of Mass Communication organized a training series for college students that aims to develop their skills and provide them with expertise and practical skills that qualify them for professional practice and work in the field and in this regard a workshop entitled "digital content on social networks" was hosted His Excellency Mohamed Al-Kashf "Member of The Federal National Council "in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain., he reflected his experiences and practices on social networks, as he obtained a bachelor's degree in new media from the Emirates Canadian University College, and he is an accredited trainer at the UAE Ministry of Interior since 2015.
During the workshop, Al-Kashf focused on the required skills in managing the digital content on social networks, and the tools that media practitioners must have to implement effective digital content on these platforms, he stressed the importance of applying the ethical professional practice in all posts, he also presented his personal experience in managing his campaign for the membership of The Federal National Council, and the role of social networks in this regards and how we can build a positive image through personal accounts on those networks.
At the end of the workshop, Dr. Hossam Salama, the dean of the college emphasized the importance of those practical workshops that enrich students' knowledge and skills by integrating the academic skills that students acquire during their studies in the college with practical practice by presenting successful experiences and media models in the community and highlighting their experiences and practices that will have an adult The effect on students' qualification for professional practice in the work environment after graduation.
The training coordinator at the college, Dr. Dina Al-Khattat, also explained that the college was always keen through its training plan to provide students and interns with knowledge, skills and professional experiences, and to keep abreast of the continuous development in communications and information technology, especially in digital media, to qualify the College young media cadres for the job market which witness Global competitiveness.
